📰 BYD Smashed Delivery Targets for 2024
The company continues its growth trajectory with record-breaking sales and global expansion.
BYD BYD 0.00%↑ continues to dominate the electric vehicle (EV) market, breaking records and surpassing expectations. In November alone, BYD sold 506,804 new energy vehicles (NEVs), marking the second consecutive month of exceeding the 500,000 threshold. This achievement represents a 67.87% increase compared to the same period last year.
The November sales breakdown includes:
- Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs): 98,065 units, a 4.46% increase from October.
- Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs): 305,938 units, showing a slight dip from the previous month but a significant year-on-year growth of 133.13%.
- Commercial NEVs: 2,801 units, reflecting an impressive 433.52% increase from a year ago.
BYD’s cumulative NEV sales for the first 11 months of 2024 reached 3,757,336 units, up 40% year-on-year. The company’s passenger vehicle deliveries alone totaled 3,740,930 units, exceeding its full-year target of 3.6 million.
BYD’s overseas sales also saw steady growth, with 30,977 vehicles sold in November. Additionally, BYD remains a leader in power battery production, with an installed base of 22.472 GWh in November, reflecting a 32.62% year-on-year increase.
As BYD closes the year with record-breaking performance, it continues to solidify its position as a global EV powerhouse. The company’s strategic focus on NEVs and expansion into international markets underscores its ambitious vision for 2025 and beyond.
