BYD China’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, is aiming to deliver 5-6 million vehicles in 2025, an ambitious target that places the company in direct competition with global automotive giants such as General Motors and Stellantis.
After surpassing its 2024 sales goal of 4 million vehicles, BYD has already delivered 3.76 million units through November, marking significant progress. Fueled by strong domestic demand, BYD's market share in China surged to 17.1%, up from 12.5% in 2023.
The company’s rapid expansion includes major investments in production capacity and a massive hiring spree, with nearly 200,000 new workers joining the ranks. BYD’s innovative lineup, which includes cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology, has helped the company navigate a highly competitive market and maintain strong growth.
