My career journey started in 2014 at Deloitte, where I joined the Financial Advisory Services department. Since then, I have taken on diverse roles across different companies. I constructed financial models for debt-to-asset swaps at a bank and served as a Financial Analyst in the Strategy, Planning, and Development department of a technology distributor. Before co-founding StockOpine, I held the position of Chief Operating Officer in an investment holding company.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong analytical and critical thinking skills, which have been pivotal in my investment journey that began in 2014.

At StockOpine, our investment strategy centers on a bottom-up fundamental analysis approach. We evaluate stocks that lead their industries, possess strong financials and have a strong competitive position. We are strong advocates of investing in companies that have a durable business model operating in resilient industries. Although we have a long-term investment horizon, price vs intrinsic value always matters to our decision-making process.
I do acknowledge that valuing a company comes with inherent limitations. However, constructing a discounted cash flow (DCF) model enables us to incorporate our narrative into the evaluation process. While this approach may restrict us from selecting the next "100x bagger" opportunity, it also acts as a safeguard against downside risk.

On my personal portfolio I hold more than 25 companies and +5 ETFs, yet under the StockOpine portfolio we hold 18 stocks.

I donโt have any sector limitations on my investment choices, however, if a sector or a company seems overly complex and difficult to comprehend thoroughly, I prefer to avoid it.
Mining companies donโt pique my interest while distributors are highly ranked on my watchlist.

$GOOGL - Google
$CSCO - Cisco Systems
$SHEL - Shell
I also hold 3 ETFs for a longer period:
$VHYD - Vanguard All-World High Dividend
$CSPX - iShares Core S&P 500
$QDVE - iShares S&P 500 Information Technology Sector

$GOOGL - Google (personal portfolio) with a +195% return.

Holding on my losers on my personal portfolio. I still hold Alibaba $BABA and Ericsson $ERIC although I could have deployed my cash elsewhere. A victim of the Disposition Effect.
Lessons learned: If you donโt have the time to actively invest you better focus on ETFs, consult a registered advisor or follow investors/analysts that you can trust.
Why do I still hold them? Firstly, I allocate 100% of my time on StockOpine and secondly these positions do not materially impact my wealth so I can live with these.
