📰 Microsoft Launches Copilot Vision for AI-Powered Web Assistance
The new tool, currently in U.S. preview, helps users navigate web content with intelligent insights, while prioritizing privacy.
Microsoft MSFT 0.00%↑ has introduced Copilot Vision, an AI tool that assists users while browsing the web with Microsoft Edge. Available in a U.S.-only preview through the Copilot Labs program, it analyzes text and images on websites to answer questions like “What’s the recipe for this lasagna?” or highlight products in online catalogs.
This feature requires a $20-per-month subscription to Microsoft’s Copilot Pro plan. Copilot Vision can summarize and translate content, and even offer assistance with games.
Microsoft assures privacy, stating that no data is stored after each session. The feature is currently limited to certain websites, excluding paywalled or sensitive content. This cautious approach comes amid legal disputes with publishers over AI access to their sites. Microsoft plans to refine the tool based on user feedback.
