Every two weeks, we host a Stock Battle on our X page between two competing companies. Which one is the favorite among our followers? And find out which one we think has the stronger fundamentals.
And the winner is... Oklo with 58% of the votes!
NuScale Power and Oklo are both U.S.-based companies developing advanced nuclear reactors, but they have distinct approaches and designs.
NuScale is pioneering small modular reactors (SMRs) that are water-cooled and feature passive cooling systems, making them safer and scalable. The company has received regulatory approvals from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is moving toward commercial deployment. NuScale’s reactors can be used in various settings, offering flexible energy production by scaling up with multiple reactors.
Oklo is developing micro-reactors that use fast-spectrum reactors and are cooled by liquid metal. Designed for smaller-scale, off-grid applications, these reactors also aim to use recycled nuclear fuel, addressing both energy needs and nuclear waste concerns. Oklo is in an earlier stage of development but promises to offer compact, portable solutions in the future.
