π― The AI 20: The Challengers (20-16)
Five companies we believe could become tomorrow's AI winners.
AI is creating one of the greatest investment opportunities of our generation. But not every company will emerge as a long-term winner. Some will define the AI era. Others will be left behind.
Thatβs why we created The AI 20: our ranking of the 20 stocks we believe are best positioned for the AI era.
Not based on hype, but on long-term fundamentals, competitive advantages, innovation, execution, and value creation.
The series is divided into four chapters:
π΄ The Challengers (20β16)
π’ The Innovators (15β11)
π΅ The Leaders (10β6)
π‘ The Titans (5β1)
Today, we begin with The Challengers: five companies that may not dominate the AI landscape today, but that we believe could become tomorrow's AI leaders.
Before we reveal our first company, there's one name we couldn't leave unmentioned.
β Honorable Mention: SpaceX
We believe SpaceX has the potential to become one of the world's most important companies in the AI era as AI becomes embedded in autonomous systems, satellite communications, robotics, and future space infrastructure.
For now, AI is not yet the primary driver of SpaceX's investment case. That could change in the years ahead.
Now it's time to meet The Challengers (20β16) β¨π

#20: Axon Enterprise (NASDAQ: AXON)
Most people know Axon as the company behind TASER devices. Today, the company does much more than that. It has built a platform that helps police and other public safety agencies with body cameras, digital evidence, drones, software, and AI.
The more products customers use, the more valuable the platform becomes. That makes it harder to switch to another provider and gives Axon a strong competitive advantage.
AI is becoming a bigger part of the platform. Products like Draft One, Axon Assistant, and Smart Capture help officers spend less time on paperwork, find information faster, and make better decisions in the field. As more AI capabilities are added, customers have more reasons to use Axon's software, creating more opportunities to sell additional software and services.

With founder-led management, recurring software revenue, high switching costs, and plenty of room to grow internationally, Axon has many of the qualities we look for in a long-term investment.
We believe Axon is well positioned to grow its ecosystem and create long-term value for shareholders as AI becomes a bigger part of its platform.
The Future Investors (Vincent & Stefan) currently hold a position in Axon Enterprise.
Fundamental Score: 84 π΅ β High-Quality
This is just the first Challenger. The next four each play a different role in the AI ecosystem, but they have one thing in common: each has a strong investment case for the AI era π€
